The issue of plastic pollution looms large, with an estimated 80 billion new pieces of clothing packed in single-use or non-recycled packaging every year.

Therefore, reducing the environmental impact of packaging is of utmost importance.

To illustrate, the amount of plastic used in the packaging of a single shirt is significant, as depicted in the accompanying photoimage

There are several ways to reduce plastic usage:

1. Polybags can be replaced with paper, PLA+PBAT, PLA+PBAT+STARCH, or landfill-degradable materials to eliminate plastic usage or reduce plastic litter. Recycled LDPE can also be used to reduce the amount of virgin material used.

2.Collar bands can be made from FSC-certified or recycled paper to eliminate plastic packaging or recycled APET to reduce the use of virgin materials.

3.Clips can be replaced with metal or recycled PS to eliminate plastic usage or reduce the use of virgin materials.

4.Collar stays can be made from metal to eliminate plastic usage or recycled APET to reduce the use of virgin materials.

5.M clips can be replaced with FSC-certified or recycled paper shirt boards to eliminate plastic usage or recycled PS to reduce the use of virgin materials.

6.Butterflies can be made from FSC-certified or recycled paper to eliminate plastic usage or recycled APET to reduce the use of virgin materials.

7.By implementing these solutions, we can reduce our reliance on plastic and move towards more sustainable alternatives.
