Lotogarment offers high-quality products made in China with competitive pricing and quick delivery. The factory started by manufacturing hunting garments and slowly upgraded to cover all-terrain outdoor wears. Since we opened for business in 2003 it's been our ambition to be the best outerwear manufacturer our customers can find, both for those in the Chinese domestic market and those in other territories all over the world.
As we had towards a quarter of a century in business, you could say that we've achieved that ambition. As a premium quality outerwear manufacturer, we now ship our jackets, hiking and running gear, insulated hard shell and soft-shell jackets, waterproofs, and pants to satisfied retailers and wholesalers in more than 40 countries across the globe.
But as welcome as that success is, it has put us in the position of needing to increase our production capacity going forward, which is why we are pleased to announce that from the start of 2024, our new factory will be up and running.
Factory Location and Size
As an outerwear manufacturer we currently serve our customers from two factories situated near ShiJiaZhuang city, Yuanshi county, in Hebei province, China. Between the two locations we employ more than 400 skilled employees who work across nine production lines.
Lotogarment currently achieves a monthly production capacity of between 50,000 and 70,000 garments, and we are able to consistently maintain this pace throughout the year. This ensures that we can deliver our high-quality items on time, but as impressive as our current output sounds, it isn't enough! We need to expand to meet demand, because we always want to be able to offer the quickest possible turnaround with every order. This is why our new factory is in the final stages of construction in an area that's about 300km south of Beijing. The new building is large and will accommodate over 350 workers, which will allow us to substantially increase our output in the year ahead.
At the end of the first phase of construction, which is set to be completed by the end of 2023, the new 10,000 square foot factory floor will accommodate eight hanging production lines, for a total annual increase in production capacity of 300,000 units.
In the meantime, Loto isn't neglecting our current factories. We continue to refurbish them and invest in cutting-edge technologies designed to increase capacity. In fact, we invest $100,000 a year in maintaining and improving our machines, and we also invest in the latest equipment, including a laser cutting machine, a down filling machine, and electric pattern machines.

Because Loto has such high-level technical requirements our expectations of workers are high. That's why we insist that they are comprehensively trained before we engage them on the production line. But although our expectations are high, we are committed to ethical employment practices. Factory Innovation and Technology
The new factory will be fully networked, which means that with every stage of production being digitally interconnected, our new intelligent management systems will be able to accelerate and improve each element of the manufacturing and quality assurance processes. Always on the lookout for ways to improve our products, we established a research and development team in 2019, with four staff and designer based in the UK and Germany. The outerwear manufacturer market is always moving, so our teams come up with around 150 new styles every year.
Factory Cooperation and Sub-contractors
Loto has cooperative relationships with numerous subcontractors who are dotted all around China, which allows us to produce more than three million garments per year. We monitor the factories that we select to ensure that their quality standards, suppliers, production capacity, ability to deliver on time, and working conditions meet our exacting requirements so that we can ensure you receive the best quality garments.
Quality Control and Certifications
We use 25 external quality controllers, and you can find our various certifications for quality assurance, ethical standards, and sustainable manufacturing practices here. We are committed to sustainable manufacturing, and we've maintained both the GRS: Global Recycling Standard and the RDS Recycled Down Standard since 2004.
Our experienced quality control team inspects fabrics, linings, and accessories before cutting and sewing take place to minimise mistakes. They hold preproduction meetings to set out the requirements for each new style and ensure that everybody understands what's expected. The inspect garments for defects at the initial stage, the half-finished stage, and before shipment to ensure that everything is in good shape for delivery.
