Each year our company do over 500 thousands pieces kidswear .it is 1/5 of the annual capacity of our company . kids wear need to be safe definitely . We have strictly risk assessment system to keep kids wear safe enough.We will check below points one by each for all kids orders we do.
1, Labelling & PackagingCountry of origin must be labelled in a conspicuous position eg back neck. Shipment ex-factory date must be on the tracking label as a tracking batch number, legal requirement for childrenswear in US, Warnings print on label or polybag as required,additional care instructions such keep away from fire.
2. Choking/Aspiration all attachements or trims will be control length, including sequins, beads, faux fur fabric small parts …they must be fixed securely.
3. Strangulation for child goods, generally cords ,draw cords sand neck ties are not used to avoid strangulation.
4. Entrapment (holes, gaps, openings on Zips, loops ).we pay extra attention to zipper puller and zipper head on kids wear, the hole on zipper cannot be too big to stuck fingers.
5. Tripping – for Long hems, dress sashes, trouser turn-ups, pullers at hems, the length must be controlled which cannot trip kids to ensure safe.
6. Restriction blood circulation , threads ends and floats will be cleaned carefully ,and QC will also check pre-packing.
7, Laceration (sharp points/edges, burrs) - Velcro, sequins, metallic threads, zips there should be no sharp edges .
8, Interference (reduced normal hearing or vision) - Oversized headwear or hood need to pay special attention to that .
9. Flammability, all fabrics will be tested to meet legal requirements
10. Chemical testing. all fabric trims prints and so on will be tested ,such as ,All metal components will be non ferrous, OEKO-TEX certificate submits for all fabric…
11. Overheating, padded products will be airflow, keep warm but not overheating.
12, Openings - considered for dressing child and functionality
13, Accessories - quick release mechanism incorporated (braces, headbands & neckties)
14, Elastic - fit for purpose
15, Fabric Quality - suitability for product (strength, transparency)
16, Neckline - minimum neck stretch achievable
